We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented associate attorney to join our team. Our firm’s practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, toxic tort, product and premises liability, employment law issues and more. Our lawyers represent major corporations including Shell USA, Inc., The Chemours Company, Daimler Truck, Ford Motor Company, Phillips 66 and Chevron. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, contribute to strategic defense strategies, and build a meaningful career in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation defense matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Prepare cases for trial as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Louisiana Bar in good standing. Admission to Texas Bar would be a great asset, but not required. 
  • Five to ten years’ experience in civil litigation or relevant practice areas preferred, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
