About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join their team. The CMO will be instrumental in defining and implementing the medical strategy for the health plan, with a strong focus on ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering innovation within the Medicare Advantage program. This leadership role involves strategic collaboration with executive teams, oversight of clinical quality initiatives, network development, risk management, and a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making to enhance population health outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active, unrestricted medical license, board-certified in a primary care specialty, and bring at least 5 years of experience in a CMO or equivalent position, particularly within managed care or a similar healthcare environment. The successful CMO will be passionate about advancing clinical outcomes, adept at program building, and possess a strong execution mindset with the ability to drive results and hold others to high-performance standards. Key skills for this role include a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement, and risk management, as well as being technology-savvy and an excellent communicator. The role also requires a candidate who is adept at problem-solving, has a high attention to detail, and can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
