This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Chief People Officer serves on the CEO’s senior leadership team and will work with the leadership team to set a strategy and develop a people services agenda that supports and aligns with the organization’s business goals. The Chief People Officer is responsible for a full range of people responsibilities, including the development and implementation of talent management/human resources policies, plans, and services. This includes recruitment, selection, legal compliance, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, employment practices and procedures ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Chief People Officer will also position the Y as a community convener and collaborator to address critical social issues. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or human resources, or related area required; Master’s degree preferred. YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred. Human resources certification preferred (SHRM SCP, SHRM CP or SPHR). Eight or more years of related professional experience in all aspects of human resources management and staff development and/or equivalent combination of education and experience including demonstrated knowledge and experience in ensuring child abuse prevention and safety. Knowledge and professional experience in human resources planning and policy, recruitment and selection compensation, benefits, training and staff development, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, workplace safety and performance management. Current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Proficiency in business and human resources related computer applications, which may include talent management systems, time and attendance systems, etc. Obtain CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and assigned Redwoods trainings within 90 days of hire date. #J-18808-Ljbffr The National Council of Young Men’s Christian Associations of the United States of America
