Overview

At Attune Wellness Med Spa, we pride ourselves on building community presence, as well as a team culture that is defined by our core values - integrity, authenticity, support, and passion. As practitioners and patients ourselves, we saw the med spa industry needed disruption. We currently operate 2 locations, 3 by the end of 2024, and plan to have 6-10 locations open by the end of 2025.

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) will be a strategic leader responsible for the financial health and operational efficiency of the medical spas. As Attune's first DFO, you will be pivotal in achieving EBITDA objectives, driving growth, and fostering a positive company culture. You will manage our accounting provider and operations team members, and partner closely with the CEO to develop and execute financial plans, manage and optimize operations, and ensure the overall success of the business as it grows.

Accountabilities
  • Own and oversee the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, including personally building models for scenario planning and analysis.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensure the company is using appropriate best-in-class financial software/tooling.
  • Make continual upgrades to business financial operations, as applicable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Optimize operational efficiency and productivity in business operations, while fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Negotiate with vendors and partners to yield favorable terms and conditions on key contracts.
  • Drive process improvement, including automation where feasible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and key business stakeholders.
  • Build a diverse and high-performing Finance & Operations team as the company grows.
Requirements

You are a great fit for this role if you have:
  • A passion, interest, and/or experience in the consumer wellness industry.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, forecasting, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Proven leadership experience in operational management and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build rapport and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a bias towards action.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • An innate habit of being detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Candidates must be able to work ~2 days per week in our office in Greenwich CT, but may work remotely the rest of the time.
