AMTS is hiring Gas & Chemical Technician for our semiconductor project in Manassas, VA. You must demonstrate technical knowledge, good judgment and skills as well as an extensive understanding of systems/equipment associated with Gasses and Chemicals. You will be required to work with and support team members on routine tasks. You are also required to use your troubleshooting skills to identify/resolve maintenance issues and safety hazards.

Position Requirements

• Follow established safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Integrate into Gas Group daily work plan including all policies, procedures, PM’s and SOP’s.
• Maintain toxic, specialty and inert gas delivery systems to support our clients 300mm-semiconductor fabrication facility
• Maintain, operate and support gas delivery equipment including verifying functionality of regulators, flow switches, heat switches, set-point alarms and safety system alarms
• Adjust, repair and replace PLC units, transducers, pressure gauges, displays, power supplies and various other electrical components of gas delivery systems
• Read and follow electrical, mechanical and piping schematics, as well as written and verbal instructions
• Perform preventive maintenance on gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), valve manifold panels (VMPs), distribution valve boxes (DVBs) by Air Liquide, Air Products, PFT (Precision Flow), Praxair and other manufacturers
• Replace regulators, gas manifold panels, pigtail joiners and pneumatic valves
• Respond to delivery failures, including emergencies and use troubleshooting skills to resolve delivery failures and restore gas delivery
• Perform daily cylinder readings and changes, as well as planned and unplanned maintenance

Qualifications

• Semiconductor/Microelectronics industry experience preferred
• Experienced and high ceiling is preferred .
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
