Job Description

The Performance Lab LIC is a high-end commercial boutique fitness facility offering two premier studios designed for group fitness classes. Studio 1 offers Strength Rx, HIIT Rx, Fuse (hybrid), and Strike (boxing) classes. With a capacity of 24 participants, it is equipped with top-tier fitness tools, including dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, sandbags, TRX suspension trainers, medicine balls, dead balls, bands, battle ropes, Woodway Curve treadmills, Rogue fan bikes, infinity ropes, and heavy bags. Studio 2 hosts Hot We Flow (yoga), Hot Power Flow (yoga), CoreCon (hot HIIT), Pilates Rx, Pilates Fusion, Dance Rx, and Recharge (recovery) classes. This studio accommodates 30 participants, with classes conducted in a heated environment using advanced infrared panels. Equipment includes Lululemon yoga mats, Manduka blocks, straps, blankets, TuneUp balls, light dumbbells, Therabands, mini bands, gliders, and Pilates overballs. Job Overview: The Operations Manager at Performance Lab LIC is a key leadership position focused on the overall operation, direction, and success of the facility. This role is critical in ensuring exceptional client experiences, providing daily support to a team of specialists, front desk staff, maintenance personnel, and management. The Operations Manager upholds Performance Lab's standards by driving customer service excellence, team motivation, and operational efficiency. In this position, you'll be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and supporting staff to maintain the high standards of Performance Lab LIC. You'll act as a second club ambassador, creating memorable experiences for members and guests alike. Key Responsibilities: Deliver consistent support to the management team, ensuring smooth daily operations. Maintain accurate inventory and pricing for merchandise, apparel, and Grab n Go items. Manage the front desk attendant schedule and ensure proper coverage at all times. Develop and uphold protocols for front desk operations to ensure seamless service. Oversee the hiring, training, and ongoing development of front desk staff. Manage relationships with key operational vendors, tracking pricing, rebates, and service levels. Support the organization's mission and ensure alignment with company values in all operations. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring consistency and quality. Ensure that the facility remains "photoshoot ready" with support from the front desk staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of fitness management experience, preferably in a high-end or boutique setting. Minimum of 2+ years of operations management experience. Current CPR/AED certification. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Availability to cover front desk shifts if required. Excellent communication and leadership skills, fostering a positive and motivating environment. Position Details: This is a full-time role, requiring 40-45 hours per week. Compensation is set at $60,000-$65,000 annually, based on experience. The position includes health benefits and paid time off. Additional teaching opportunities are available, with classes taught by the Operations Manager compensated at $50 per class (up to two classes per day). This is an exempt position under federal wage-hour law, making it ineligible for overtime pay for hours beyond 40 in a week. Performance reviews are conducted annually, offering potential for compensation increases based on performance.
