Aaron School is a private special education school in Manhattan that provides integrated academic, enrichment, and therapeutic services to students with learning differences, with the goal of enabling them to become confident and successful learners. Aaron School is seeking a School Psychologist at its 45th Street location (K-7). Offering an academically rigorous curriculum aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, Aaron employs an individualized approach to ensure student achievement while preparing them for post-secondary educational experiences and professional careers.

Salary range $65,000 to $69,000 (10-month position)

RESPONSIBILITIES | WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGIST (Grades K-7)

• Candidate must have min 2 years Special Ed experience with respective degrees and NY certification
• Serve as Case Manager for assigned classrooms; establishing therapeutic goals for students and conducting individual or small group sessions in both push-in and pull-out models.
• Conduct weekly social skill/peer group classes.
• Classroom behavioral management facilitation necessary.
• Must be collaborative with teachers, parents and outside providers.
• Strong writing skills required for email communication and end of year reports.
• Manageable caseload.
