Account Executive - Commercial Flooring & Tile

Job Description

Welker Bros. is seeking an Account Executive with a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience to join our work group. This individual will be ultimately responsible for driving business growth and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional execution and strategic sales & project management efforts. 

This role will be for commercial projects within our core markets: multi-family, healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, life sciences, K-12 and corporate TI. Account Executives will work closely with all members of the project team, and will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
• Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and project delivery.
• Collaborate directly with all project team members to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• 100% detailed/hands-on knowledge of project scope.
• Material procurement/cost control/billings/collections/change management/cash flows/monthly status reports.
• Key point of contact with general contractor, owner, architect.
• Challenge and support jobsite(s) and self-perform work team.
• Accountable for overall project financial success and customer satisfaction. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to create and support team morale.
• Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.
• Work scope requires complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and accounting cost management software.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably within Welker Bros. core markets.
• A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and solve problems proactively.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
