Ambit Chemical Technologies in Gulfport, MS is looking for an environmental health and safety (EHS) manager to join our Team. We are located on 14373 Seaway Road. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable. The position will be located at the Gulfport, MS Facility. Cannot be Remote

Responsibilities

1. Developing and implementing safety and environmental policies and procedures.
2. Conducting inspections and risk assessments.
3. Providing training and communication on safety protocols.
4. Monitoring and reporting on safety and environmental performance.
5. Ensuring environmental protection.
6. Coordinating emergency responses.
7. Ensuring legal compliance and staying updated with legislation.
8. Promoting employee well-being.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, public health, occupational safety, environmental health, safety engineering, or life sciences.
• Gain experience in entry-level roles in the field.
• Obtain certification.
• Have working knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations.
• Demonstrate ability to develop and implement EHS programs.
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
